Autoimmune (AI) diseases are a group of diseases that are characterized by the body "attacking" itself. Over the last 50 years, autoimmune diseases have steadily been on the rise and have been a major focus of conventional and complementary medicine. Dr. Cassano has experience in treating the following AI diseases:

Autoimmune diseases require long term lifestyle modifications and a true commitment to health responsibility. Autoimmune diseases do not begin overnight and thus can take many months to many years to resolve. Dedication and adherence to a naturopathic medical program is key.
Dr. Cassano will require baseline blood testing to be completed at the onset of an autoimmune program. This blood work will include Vitamin D status, CRP (inflammatory marker) and HgA1c (long term blood sugar control). This will be at a cost of $150 in addition to the initial appointment. The aforementioned blood work will be again retested at a discussed and agreed upon interval between Dr. Cassano and her patients.
